WATER FOR PEACE© IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE FIRST MENTOR BY EMAIL: 

Dr. Neil S. Grigg, neilg@engr.colostate.edu of the Department of Civil Engineering, Colorado State University.  Dr. Grigg is highly qualified to teach many aspects of Water Resources Engineering.  His vast experience and willingness to give the gift of knowledge makes this an extraordinary learning experience.  Dr. Grigg has decided to focus this set of exchanges on the topic:  WATER RESOURCES PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT. 

To begin the discussion, Dr. Grigg notes:   Globally, water resources are under more pressure with increasing growth and development. Achieving sustainable solutions within the framework of varied governmental systems is challenging, and calls for effective science, engineering, and management.

Dr Grigg uses his textbook: Water Resources Management: Principles, Regulations, and Cases, McGraw-Hill, 1996, when he teaches a class on the above subjects.  If you are able to read this book it will facilitate your discussions.  There are also many other fine references.  If relevant books are not available to you, you may wish to ask for some donations to your library –see BOOKS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS on this site--
